McClung-Logan Equipment Company has opened their newly constructed service facility in Baltimore. This state-of-the-art shop will better position the company to serve their growing customer base throughout Maryland.
The 16,422 sq. ft. facility includes eight bays measuring 11,880 sq. ft., two 5-ton over head bridge cranes, fully integrated lubrication system, environmentally friendly indoor wash bay, in-floor heating system, and a new service & safety training center. Designed to meet the latest energy efficiency requirements, the building features all LED motion sensor lights and climate control HVAC.
While some finishing touches are still being made in-and-around the facility, a team of technicians are actively supporting customers in the new shop area. The spacious building will house members from the Service, Parts, Warranty and Product Support departments. Demolition of the former service facility will take place later this month.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Site grading and utilities began in August 2019 and building construction started last September.
- 90 cubic yards of concrete was used in the foundations, 310 cubic yards in the slab, and 300 cubic yards in the building aprons, using approximately 80 concrete trucks in total.
- 13,700 lineal feet (2.6 miles), almost 46 football fields of 1/2″ PEX tubing was installed in the concrete slab on grade for the radiant floor heat.
- The new facility was fit out using all LED lighting systems, (2) waste oil boilers feeding the shop radiant floor heating system, high efficiency HVAC equipment and a fully sprinklered shop and office area using a wet type system.
