United Crane & Rigging: Towering Beside the Nation’s Capital

The right tower crane for a tight jobsite.

On the border between Virginia and Washington, D.C., lies Arlington. Due to the county’s proximity to downtown Washington, D.C., Arlington is home to the Pentagon, Reagan National Airport, and Arlington National Cemetery.

4040 Wilson Blvd. is the final component of the Liberty Center Development, offering the most unique opportunity in the market as Arlington’s first vertical mixed-use building with retail, office, and residential under one roof.

With such a congested jobsite, United Crane & Rigging was trusted to supply the right tower crane for the job. A Terex SK415 was carefully selected for the project due to its maximum capacity of 44,050 lbs. (max capacity at tip of 7,046 lbs.) as well as its maximum boom/jib length of 246 ft.

The team of professionals at United Crane & Rigging acted with safety and precision to complete the job, enhancing the potential of this wonderful Northern Virginia community.
