Company carries on the legacy of helping people in need, set forth by White Oak Equipment.
Since 1984, White Oak Equipment (now the compact division of McClung-Logan) has held an annual Oyster Roast fundraising event to help a deserving community member in need. After years of hosting the fundraiser at the McClung-Logan Fredericksburg, Virginia branch, the event eventually outgrew the facility and has since moved to the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fairgrounds. All expenses for the benefit are paid for by McClung-Logan along with generous donations from over 25 businesses, organizations, and individuals. Since its inception, over $1.2 million has been raised to help deserving members of the Fredericksburg community!
The 2023 event was held on March 3rd and raised funds for local community members Katrina “Kat” Pickard and Kathy Crabtree Staples. Both have been dealing with multiple serious cancer-related issues, including radiation and chemotherapy treatments, for several years. Funds raised from this year’s Oyster Roast will help Katrina and Kathy pay for out-of-pocket medical and living expenses.
In addition to the annual fundraiser, the McClung-Logan team kicked off the festivities with their annual Customer Appreciation Event held on March 2nd which has taken place each year since 1995, with the exception of 2021 due to COVID. Over 250 customers attended this year’s event which included equipment displays, prize giveaways, and plenty of oysters and food to go around. McClung-Logan is proud to be a member of the Fredericksburg community and looks forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.
