ML Crane Group announced its acquisition of Crane Rental Company Inc. of Washington, D.C. from Michael Scott. Crane Rental Company was started in 1937 by Scott’s great-grandfather Roy Daniel Kauffman. Scott was the fourth generation in the family to own and run the company. The employees’ great pride and hard work have been the key to the company’s success in the commercial construction industry in our Nation’s Capital and surrounding metropolitan area for more than 80 years.
Crane Rental Company has provided the equipment, people, and services that have helped build our capital region and many of its notable landmarks. In addition to its large crane rental fleet, the company also specializes in storage, trucking, rigging, and permits/traffic control services
The acquisition of Crane Rental Company extends ML Crane Group’s reach in the Mid-Atlantic region, adding more resources to its combined customer base. United Crane and Rigging is also owned by ML and based in nearby Baltimore, MD. The Crane Rental Company family and ML Crane Group will continue to provide the same great service and support customers have grown to value over the years.
